TRANSFER OF TELEPHONE

• It means change in the name of the subscriber, in case of individual or change in name /constitution /ownership in the case of company/ organisation /institution.
• Event necessitating transfer of a telephone.
  (i) Change of name taking place voluntarily or due to marriage
  (ii) Change in name/constitution of firm, companies, organisation, institution etc.
  (iii) Sale of dissolution of the firm
  (iv) Death of the hirer.

The application for transfer (on prescribed forms) should be made within one year from the date of the event and is to be submitted to the Commercial Officer of your area. Can also be trasferred to Blood Relation Transfer fee: Rs. 100/- Can also be transferred to third party after one year of installation Transfer Fee: 500/-

SAFE CUSTODY OF TELEPHONE

• There are two categories of safe custody.
  Short Term :
  1.Safe Custody from 7 days to 90 days
  2.Cable pair & telephone number will be reserved.
  3.Restoration will be as per customer's request.
  4.Reconnection fee is Rs.100/- will be charged at the time of reconnection.
  Long Term :
  1.Safe Custody for long duration beyond 90 days.
  2.Cable pair & telephone number will not be reserved.
  3.Restoration will be as per customer's request.
  4.Reconnection fee is Rs.100/- will be charged at the time of reconnection.
• To be applied to Quick Customer Service Centres for short Term aswell as for Long Term safe custody.

DID EPABX ON FRANCHISE BASIS

• Scheme open to all Private operators can provide extension telephones to general public through DID EPABX enfranchise bases. (Commission)
• These telephone connection can be provided in the adjoining multi storeyed buildings with in a raduis of 500 meters from the multi storeyed building in which EPABX is installed.
• Permission for operation of DID Group EPABXs under this scheme may also be granted for.

FAX SERVICE

No licence fee is charged either for own use and a licence fee of Rs. 10,000/- per annual is charged for commercial use No licence fee for use in P.C.O. To be applied on a prescribed applicable form available at Area Quick Customer Service Centres. Department of Telecommunications is operating many Bureau Fax Services offering incoming and transmission FAX facilities.

• The charge of incoming fax messages
  Rs. 10/- upto 3 pages &
  Rs. 3/- for each additional pages.
• One receipt of a message the customer is informed on the contact telephone number given by him for this purpose.

The charges for transmission of a message of A-4 size are:-

National	Rs 30/- per page Rs 15/- per half page
Neighbouring countries	Rs 60/- per page
European, Asian & African Countries	Rs 95/- per page
American Continents	Rs 110/- per page

Note: Only Facsimile Machines approved by DOT/TEC are Permitted to be connected.
