How to use Advance Search

The Advanced Use of the search engine can be achieved by use of a few special characters while using the query options provided.Given below are a few examples which illustrate the use of advanced options.

• To use the Advanced Query ,be sure to select the Advanced from the Match options.
• Single character wild-card match can be made by placing '_' in the word entered for the Query for example if you are searching for Rendalkar and are not sure if it is spelt as Rendalkar or with a 'e' as Rendalker then use the query as Rendalk_r .
• Single character wild-card match can be used also in two or more places in the same word ie Ren_alk_r.
• Multiple character wild-card match can be made by placing the '%' in the word entered for the Query for example if you are searching for Rendalkar then use the query as Ren%.
• Multiple character wild-card match can be used also in two or more places in the same word entered for the Query for example if you are searching for Rendalkar then use the query as R%endalk%.
• Multiple character wild-card match can be used effectively when using the group Query ie if you are looking for the AIR INDIA group then you can loop up by entering in the appropriate column values as : AIR% or %INDIA or in case of INDIAN AIRLINES you can use IND% AIR%
