Phone Plus Services

Subscribers can avail some of the special facilities available in exchanges at a nominal charge. The facilities offered are :
 

  Call Alert
  Call forwarding
  Abbreviated Dialling
  Hot line facility
  NSD / ISD Locking facility
  Wake – up ( Reminder Call )
  Call Hunting facility
 

CALL ALERT :

Call Alert means alerting the subscriber of another incoming call on his telephone while he is already in conversation. This facility allows the subscriber to take the second call keeping the first party on hold. Facility is avaliable in all electronic exchanges, digital as well as analogue. Facility is not avaliable in C-400 exchanges[codes-412,560,561,612].

Special Feature : Second Caller gets a ring backtone instead of an engaged tone even when the called number is already in conversation with any other party.
 Activation : This facility has been automatically activated. In case if is not, subscriber may dial "118" to activate it and will get an acceptance tone similar to the engaged tone but with a longer gap between the beeps.
Deactivation : Subscriber will dial "119" and get the acceptance tone

Use : Suppose the subscriber is speaking to someone "A" on his telephone and a special tone [Two short beeps] alerts him of another incoming call "B", the subscriber then will have the following options.

 1) He can disconnect "A" and talk to "B":-
        Just press the hook switch once to get a special dial tone.
        Then dial digit "1", "A" will automatically get disconnected and subscriber will be able to
        speak to "B".

2) He can keep "A" on hold and talk to "B":-
      Press the hook switch once get a special dial tone.
      Then dial digit "2","A" is now on hold and you will be able to speak to "B".

 3) He can keep "B" on hold while reverting back to conversation with "A".
         By pressing the hook switch to get a special dial tone then dial digit "2" again. Now "B" is
        on hold and he can resume conversation with "A".

 4) He can disconnect "B" and continue conversation with "A".
        Press the hook switch to get the special dial tone.
        Dial digit "1". He is now back to "A" while "B" has been disconnected.

            In all the above steps privacy is assured.

Caution:- While exercising the option subscriber should press the  hook switch quickly to avoid disconnection of the call. Subscriber can alternate between A & B as often as he pleases but he cannot conduct a simultaneous conversation with both.
 Charges:- Facility is provided free of charge.
 

CALL FORWARDING

The call forwarding facility enables the subscriberto transfer/forward incoming calls to another telephone number when the subscriber is not avaliable to receive calls on his own telephone.
Through call forwarding facility subscriber can leave his office or home without having to miss important calls.

Call forwarding facility is avaliable in all electronic exchanges , digital as well as analogue.
In case of analogue electronic exchanges call forwarding is possible within the same exchange area.

FETEX analogue exchanges:-(codes202,204,371,375,378,430,436,437, 438,640,642,643,644).

Activation

[E10B,OCB-283, EWSO, FETEX 150 Digital Electronic Exchanges] Subscriber provided with this facility will activate the service by dialling "114" followed by the number to which the incoming call is to be transferred. If the request is registered, subscriber will hear an acknowledgement tone. Thereafter all the incoming call will go to the new number. During this period outgoing calls can still be made as usual. On lifting the handset a different dial tone will be heard indicating that the call forwarding facility is active.

Deactivation or Cancellation:- Subscriber just has to dial "115" and wait for the acknowledgement tone.

FETEX analogue exchanges activation:- Suppose subscriber with telephone number 2023456 desires to transfer incoming calls to 2024567, He will press the following buttons on his telephone 2023456 after getting the dial tone,# 2102024567#. A ring answering, the call transfer request will be registered. All incoming call on 2023456 will then go on telephone 2024567. Every time the subscriber lifts the receiver of 2023456, he will get a reminder tone before the dial tone. This arrangement will continue until it is cancelled.

Deactivation or Cancellation:- To cancel the "Call Forwarding" facility press the buttons of telephone number 2023456 in the following sequence after getting dial tone. #211#. Acceptance tone will be heard indicating that the call transfer facility has been cancelled.

Type of Instrument to be used- For E-10B/OCB/SIEMENS Digital electronic exchanges. Any type of instrument can be used. For FETEX analogue only DTMF push button instrument is to be used. other than FETEX analogue, any type of instrument (Decadic or OTMF) can be used.

ABBREVIATED DIALLING-

This facility enables the subscriber to have his own two digit codes for often called telephone number.

 BENEFITS- Convenient and faster connection especially for NSD/ISD calls. This facility is avaliable in all electronis exchanges with slight variations in operation.
 

Operation in electronic exchanges other than FETEX analogue Exchanges-

Activation/Registration 110AB+++++(Tel NO.) depending on local or outstanding numbers. Thereafter, to get that number press 111AB. Any type of instrument, DTMF or DECADIC, pushbuttons can be used.

Fetex Analogue exchange-Operation

This facility can be availed of only with a DTMF push button instrument. Make a list of numbers, on the basis of importance,whom you wish to allot abbreviated codes. For example, assume "12" is the abbreviated code for the local telephone number 3382345. To register this abbreviated code "12" please press the buttons 0* 123382345# and listen for the acceptance tone.

Likewise you can register 20 numbers assigning code 00 to 19.

This facility is avaliable for Mumbai numbers as well as outstation numbers if your telephone is having NSD facility.

Now to get the Mumbai NO.3382345 all you have to do is press *12 after getting the dialtone and wail, you will get connected to 3382345. If the subscriber wishes to code "12" for Delhi[NSD-011] no. 271234 instead of MUmbai 3382345. Follow the same procedure as above. After getting dial tone press  0*12011271234# and wait till you receive service acceptance tone. Now to get Delhi number you have to press * 12 and wait.
 

HOTLINE -

This facility enables the subscriber of an electronic exchange to get connected to another telephone of his choice either at Mumbai or any other outstation without dialling the telephone number. After the arrangement is made for the subscriber by the exchange,just lift your receiver and you will get the normal dialtone.

If you wait for 5 seconds the exchange will connect you automatically to the HOTLINE number.

Once the hotline connection is established the call will be charged as per a normal call [Local, NSD, or ISD, as the case may be].

To make call other than the HOTLINE number please start dialling within 5 seconds of getting dial tone HOTLINE facility is a great convenience which saves the bother of dialling the full number which the subscriber needs to call frequently.

BENEFIT :
 

It is boon for an aged parent or an invalid relative or a very young child back to home, who might find it difficult to remember and dial a long number. All they have to do is to lift the receiver and wait for 5 seconds. The call will be automatically connected to the mumber registered for the HOTLINE Service. Within 5 seconds of lifting the receiver any outgoing number can be dialled, but after 5 seconds it gets connected automatically to the predetermined number.

 Charges- Rs 20/- per month.
 
 

ELECTRONIC STD / ISD LOCK
 

 NSD/ISD locking completely eliminates misuse of your NSD/ISD facility by others. It prevents unauthorised NSD/ISD calls from your telephone. This is completely FOOLPROOF. It is a system by which a subscriber connected to an electronic telephone exchange can lock/unlock NSD/ISD facility on his telephone. It works on a four digit secret code selected by the subscriber from the digits 0 to 9. This code is registered with the exchange and used for opening and locking NSD/ISD facility on your telephone line. This code can be changed by the subscriber as often as he needs.
 

WAKE UP ( REMINDER CALL )

This facility enables the subscriber to get reminded / woken up at a predetermined time . This facility is available in all electronic exchanges, digital as well as analogue. For registering a wake up call – say , to be reminded at 0615 hrs. Dial 1160615. Subscriber will get a reminder call exactly at 0615 hro as specified by him. For cancellation please dial 1170615 and wait for an acceptance tone.

For analogue exchanges ( Codes – 202 , 204 ,371 , 375 , 378, 430 , 436 , 437 , 438 , 640, 642 , 643 , 644 ) to register a wake up call please dial # 550 HH MM # ( example to wake up at 0615 hrs. ) please dial #5500615#. For cancelling the registration please dial #551#. For analog exchanges DTMF instrument.
 

CALL HUNTING

This facility automatically transfers your incoming call to a free line. Subscriber need not indicate numerous numbers of there organisation on their visiting cards or business letters . Principal number need only be indicated or printed. By availaing the call hunting facility for a group of numbers of an organisation, if the principal number is dialled the exchange will automatically hunt for a free number in the same group and the incoming call will land on free number.
