COSMOS (Centrex) for Co-op. Group Housing Societies
Features:
  • The group in the housing societies is 5 or more, customers should belong to the same housing society.
  • Monthly service charge for centrex facility in the same housing society is free (NIL) with minimum 5 users in each society.
  • One telephone connection having monthly service charge-free in the tariff plan of Rs.250/- will be given to the Group Housing Societies. Security deposit & usage charges will be chargeable for this.The payment will be made by the society & this telephone will be installed wherever the society wants within the complex.
  • Calls within the group are FREE.
  • One telephone connection having monthly service charge Free will be provided under Plan-160 for security gate against every 50 landline connections under COSMOS facility in the housing society.

       The Centrex facility has been started by MTNL w.e.f. 15.09.2004, under the brand name of COSMOS for Co-op.Group Housing Societies for Basic Telephone Subscribers of MTNL, Mumbai.

14. Average charge per minute for one minute domestic STD call (peak/off peak) As per normal DEL

24. No. of Groups Minimum limit of members in a group of Centrex would be five. There is no upper limit on the number of members in the Centrex group.

Note:
  • Existing customers can opt for this facility & new customers can apply after activation of their telephone line.
  • This scheme is restricted to the members of society residing within the same premises.
  • (a)The individual subscribers seeking Centrex facility may belong to the same Co-operative Group Housing Societies.
    (b)The option of consolidated billing, payment and discount, under the "Group Housing Societies' Scheme" where applicable, may be provided to the groups or organizations covered under the Centrex. However, the condition of combined billing for all the DELs covered therein shall not be mandatory.
    (c)The DELs belonging to the public services like call centers, enquiry numbers, ISP Dial-in numbers, paging service numbers etc., besides franchises, PCO holders shall not be part of the Centrex group.
  • "In case of customer with single party billing & large requirement of telephones located in one or more co-located buildings, additional cables may be required to be laid. In such cases instead of laying additional cables by MTNL, if customers insist for MTNL owned EPABX at their premises then such requests may be agreed to. However, final decision in such cases to decide EPABX solution or otherwise may be taken by the CGM concerned of MTNL."
  • Extension of Centrex facility for RWAs initially for a period of six months.
  • The landline COSMOS tariff within the same building and within the same exchange area will be charged Rs. 50/- per landline per month for the cases other than Group Housing Society.(effective from 01.10.2004)
