TRUNK INFORMATION

Service is ordinarily meant to serve subscribers who utilize trunk service only.
As the changes in Telephone numbers of distant stations are not made available regularly, the correctness of information cannot always be ensured.
Hence please request operator to verify the number at the time of connecting the call. In case of difficulty contact the supervisor.

Booking Demand Calls: Demand call charges are twice the ordinary call charges

REVERSE CHARGES TRUNK CALLS

Reverse charge Facility is allowed on trunk calls to those numbers of newspapers and Mercantile firms registered as Reverse Charge (RC) numbers On such calls, the charges are billed to the called party.
For Registration of RC numbers apply to the A.O. Telephone Revenue , MTNL Telephone Bldg. 1st floor C.R. Marg, Fort, Mumbai. -400001
This facility is open to Newspapers and Mercantile firms only. Reverse charge calls should be booked from PCO only by giving RC Card No.

FIXED TIME CALLS

Fixed time calls are permitted under URGENT category only, Fixed time call will be accepted even upto 15 minutes prior to the required time . PP call facility is not available for fixed time (FT) calls. Once booked, FT calls can not be changed except when the call can not materialise within 15 minutes of the prescribed time. On cancellation, if done 30 minutes before the required time the supplementary charges will be levied at Rs. 5/- where a fixed time call is not setup with in15 minutes of the required time the caller will have the option to cancel the call without any charges or to accept it as a non fixed time call. The class of calls may be changed at this stage or later if so desired and the usual rules for change of class of calls in case of fixed time calls will apply, if call is ineffective for any reason such as No Reply from this calling /called number no charges are levied.

SUBSCRIPTION FIXED CALLS

SFT calls are FT calls booked for 5 or more consecutive days in a week . Only URGENT category of calls are permitted for this type of calls. Rules for Fixed Time Calls  are applied to SFT calls also. Written requests for SFT calls on a weekly basis only should be addressed to the Traffic Supdt.(CDTMX- PBD),II Floor, CDTMX-PDV, Prabhadevi Telecom Bldg. V.S.Marg, Mumbai -28 .If SFT call is cancelled on any day/days is charged on the same lines as a FT call subject to ,minimum charge for 5 day s. On Bank or market holidays the caller is permitted to change the calling number one hour in advance from the required time only if the alternative number belongs to the same party.
