Procedure for Getting a Data Circuit
Please follow the steps given below for obtaining a Data Circuit from MTNL, Mumbai.
1. Take an Application form costing Rs. 10/-. This is a numbered form, a copy of which is avaliable in this web site also.
2. Fill all the relevant columns as per the instructions given in the Instructions sheet.
3. It may be noted that the telephone number in the building at 'A' end and 'B' end are KEY fields, by which the route is selected. Hence, the same be given correctly.
4. Register your request at our office by paying Rs. 1000/- towards registration charges.
5. Obtain the Registration Number being given by our unit after registration. It looks like this : "COM/DATA/LL or LD/XXXX dated .... "
6. After the feasibility verification, a Demand Note will be issued to you, which includes the Annual Line Rental, the Installation and Testing charges and the modem charges, if provided by MTNL.
7. Pay the demand note amount within 21 days, else the channel reserved for you may be cancelled and alloted for subsequent cases.
8. A relevant workorder , indicating all your requirements, will be issued to all concerned officers of MTNL, for providing the circuit as requested by you.
9. Keep the modem ready to handover to MTNL officials, when requested for. This will speed up execution of your work.
10.In case of any problem, you may contact the officers, whose address & telephone number are given in the Intimation Memo being given to you at the time of issue of workorder.
